Tilly the Turtle’s Slow Adventure
Once upon a time, in a green and peaceful forest, there lived a small turtle named Tilly. Tilly was not like the other animals—she moved very slowly. The rabbits ran fast, the birds flew high, and even the ants seemed quicker than her. Sometimes, Tilly felt sad.
One sunny morning, the animals planned a big race to the river. Everyone laughed when Tilly said she wanted to join.
“You’re too slow!” said Rabbit.
“Maybe next time!” giggled Squirrel.
But Tilly smiled. “I may be slow, but I never give up.”
The race began. All the animals rushed ahead. Tilly walked step by step. On her way, she saw a baby bird stuck in a bush. Tilly gently helped it out. Then she saw Squirrel’s scarf caught on a branch. She carefully freed it.
By the time Tilly reached the river, everyone was already cheering. But then they noticed something: the animals she helped arrived with her!
“You may be slow,” said Rabbit, “but you have the kindest heart.”
Tilly smiled again. “Kindness always wins.”
Moral: It‘s not how fast you go, but how good you are along the way.
