Arjun saves meera – Part 1
One hot summer afternoon, a boy named Arjun went to the river near his village. He liked to sit on the rocks and watch the water flow. The river was calm that day, and the sun was shining brightly.
As Arjun sat there, he heard a sudden splash. He turned quickly and saw a girl struggling in the water. She was waving her arms and crying for help. She had slipped and fallen into the deep part of the river.
Arjun did not think twice. He jumped into the water and swam towards her. The current was strong, but he pushed hard with his arms and legs. The girl was scared and coughing. Her name was Meera, and she was only a little younger than Arjun.
“Hold on to me!” Arjun shouted. Meera grabbed his hand tightly. Slowly, Arjun pulled her back towards the shore. It was hard work, but he didn’t give up.
Finally, they reached the riverbank. Arjun helped Meera sit down and gave her time to catch her breath. She was cold and shaking, but safe.
“Thank you,” Meera whispered, tears in her eyes.
“You’re safe now,” Arjun said with a smile.
Later, the villagers came running after hearing the news. They praised Arjun for his courage. Meera’s parents thanked him again and again.
From that day, Arjun was known as a hero in the village — the boy who saved the girl from drowning. And Meera never forgot the brave boy who risked everything to save her life.
