The Sleepy Forest
In a faraway forest, everything was quiet. The sun had gone down, and the sky turned a deep blue. It was bedtime.
All the animals were getting ready to sleep. The rabbits brushed their ears with soft leaves. The squirrels made their nests cozy with dry grass. The deer sang soft songs as the stars came out.
But one little bear cub named Bruno was not sleepy.
“I can’t sleep,” Bruno said. “What if I forget how to dream?”
Mama Bear smiled. She picked up Bruno and gave him a big, warm hug. “Dreams come when your heart is calm,” she said. “Listen to the forest. It will help you rest.”
So Bruno closed his eyes and listened.
He heard the trees gently rustling in the wind. He heard a cricket chirp far away. He felt the soft breeze on his fur.
His eyes got heavy. His breathing slowed.
Soon, Bruno was fast asleep, dreaming of honey rivers, floating clouds, and big blue butterflies.
The forest stayed quiet and safe all night long.
